a poem, another poem and an affirmation…
pain befriends me
pain says, ‘listen,
I am here to help you
say goodbye to the past
and welcome the future’
—
.
The pain of goodbye is good and right and proper
I honour what has been with my pain
The Bridgekeeper is my Lord.
The Bridgekeeper is my Love.
The Bridgekeeper is my long, lone friend.
He waits, relentless, statuesque, at the high tide line of the two worlds -
sparkling in fathomless, laughing eyes, the flame of countless stars.
Push on! – the fate of so many lifetimes impels you to this junction.
With tender gesture, fear of annihilation evaporates, mist lifts.
“I am in yonder void even as this lantern illuminates your path hither.
I am the keeper, I am the ocean, I am the bridge.“
The Bridgekeeper is my Lord.
The Bridgekeeper is my Love.
The Bridgekeeper is my long, lone friend.
In the silver forest of my mind you sit and wait for me my Lord
You have waited lifetimes
The great white oaks that surround you dance in the full yellow moon and sing of Your Love.
You draw near to me, you’re endless; stretching out in time and space.
My attention to this moment recalls my joy and pain; I surrender at Your feet.
How can I master the complexities of my mind, so easily forgetting You?
Within this I am wavering on the surface of existence.
I want to be fully awake
In the urban jungle of my world you sit and wait for me my Lord.
You will wait lifetimes.
